However the area is safe, the people are harmless and there is police presence both day and night in the square just outside the hotel. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk to Las Ramblas. This hotel is probably best for young, budget travelers - the price of the rooms are some of the most economical for a hotel in Barcelona city centre.
