With a modern architectural design, the new AVIZ does not wish to be a reedition from former days but to transport to modern days the concept of the mythical AVIZ HOTEL, that lived from 1931 to 1962 at the magnificent Picoas Palace, designed by the architect Ventura Terra. More then a rebuilding, it's the spirit of the times that we aimed to recreate: "get back the unachievable, the perfume of a time, recreating an atmosphere in an environment that lives in the collective imaginary", states Carlos Monjardino, the biggest enthusiast of this project which has Fundação Oriente as its exclusive promoter.
